Amit is interested in the macro and microscopic nature of atmospheric outgassing for the case of exoplanets and icy moons. Amit is combining analytical analysis of transport in planetary interiors with atomistic simulations of high-pressure chemistry to gain a fundamental understanding of what chemical species are available for the surface and atmosphere, around different types of planets.
