The Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian is leading many exciting developments at the forefront of exoplanet research. In addition to active leadership of many activities of the Kepler and TESS Missions, CfA scientists are developing new tools and observatories devoted to discovering and characterizing Earth-like worlds; these facilities include the MEarth Observatory, MINERVA, HARPS spectrograph, and the GCLEF instrument for the Giant Magellan Telescope. The exoplanet group at the CfA consists of over 40 individuals with an emphasis on the mentorship of the next generation of leaders on the rapidly developing field.
